A leading figure in contemporary art, Nabil Nahas, a Lebanese American painter, was born in Beirut in 1949. He moved to the United States in 1969, earning a BFA from Louisiana State University and an MFA from Yale University in 1972. He currently lives and works between New York and Beirut.

The Selection Committee composed of renowned experts has selected Nabil Nahas "for his ability to explore the complex relationship between nature, geometry, and cosmos through a singular visual language combining abstraction and figuration. His monumental compositions, between painting and sculpture, and his use of Fractal in both scientific and artistic dimensions, create immersive, sensory, and meditative experiences that traverse chaos and harmony. His art offers a poetic reading of the world, resonating with contemporary issues and evoking the spiritual and the material, the intimate and the cosmic."
The Lebanese Pavillon will be, once again, located in the Arsenale, one of the two main venues of La Biennale Di Venezia.
The Pavilion’s scenography has been entrusted to EAST Architecture Studio.
